The ability to maintain balance is very important in everyone's life, especially the youngest.

Stilts have been known around the world for several thousand years. They were invented in order to get a little higher. They were used, for example, to cross streams with dry feet. The Chinese used them in performances where they danced on them, playing mythical characters. Stilts could be found in Africa or in Mayan times. In ancient Rome, they were used by street dancers, and in France, in marshy areas, by shepherds.

The art of keeping balance on stilts / clogs is a challenge for a young child, which our little one should be able to handle without any problems. This game exercises eye-hand coordination and balance skills.

The child is free to put his or her feet in them and with each step comes into contact with the ground in a fairly stable way. In addition, it is fun for the toddler to be a little higher off the ground.

He still engages his hands to move. Each stilt has a string attached, which allows it to be lifted up together with the foot with every step. Thanks to this simple action, playing on the stilts exercises not only the legs and sense of balance, but also the arms and motor coordination.

The game can be made more interesting by adding additional elements. After setting a starting and finishing point, let the child get there any way he or she wants. We mark out a route, with turns, laps, then we add small obstacles to this route, which the child will cross by lifting their legs higher with the stilts.

The stilts can be used for active outdoor activities but can also be played with at home.
